Results
This project allowed me to strengthen my problem solving skills when working with mechanical systems. While drafting how the system would remove excess sand the team got caught up in how to dump sand while maintaining stable connections in the device. After brainstorming on the subject I suggested that the sand did not need to be "dumped" at all, but rather could be pushed out. This was a great reminder that good solutions do not have to be technically complex.
